We're Here

What a trip! We are worn plumb out, but so very excited!! 

This won't be a long post because I am ready for bed!!!

We left Knoxville at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon - we had a great send off: Brandon's family came out, as well as Anthony and Connie, Martin, Ross and Kathy (Lisa's Mom and Dad), Laura and Steve.

Backpacks, Carry-Ons, Two Checked.....Check!!

Steve prayed over us, our families, and the sweet people of Malawi.

"Our bags are packed, we're ready to leave....."

Brandon had never flown before, but after take off he was "Good to Go!".

We landed at Dulles around 4:00 and departed for Johannesburg at 5:40.

About 8 hours later we stopped at Dakar, Senegal just for refuel and a change of crew. 

Food was quite good, and as you can see, there was a LOT of it!!

You all know me, I ate every bite...Lisa tells me she pretty much did the same.

And Brandon is a member of the Clean Plate Club as well :-)

Lanny ate most of his dinner. He never stuffs himself like I do :-)

Another 8 hours and here we are!!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel.

And indescribable food!! Here you go Faye....

And Lanny will not stop talking about the onions, avocado and shrimp!!

Another one of those "best in the world" stories :-)
